Energy
In cricket there are 2 major types of energy at most times there is Ep, which is gravitational potential energy and there is Ek, which is Kinetic Energy. The ball starts off with Ep in the bowlers hands. As the bowler starts moving Ek increases, When the bowler throws the ball Ek starts decreasing and Ep starts increasing. At the top of the parabolic arc there is only Ep and as the ball starts coming down the Ep starts to decrease rapidly while the Ek starts to increase rapidly
Work
In physics, a force is said to do work when it acts on a body so that there is a displacement of the point of application, however small, in the direction of the force (Wikipedia,2007) . For cricket work is the change in Energy from the moment the ball leaves the hand of the bowler to the moment that it hits the bat. The Work done is throwing for Rachit is shown below.
Power
In physics, power is the rate at which energy is transferred, used, or transformed (Wikipedia,2012) . For Cricket this means the rate at which the energy transformed from the bowlers hand to the batter bat, below is a worked example of Power using Rachit`s own personal results
